Elemi has a soft, floral, lemony aroma. Used by the Egyptians in embalming, Elemi is indicated to help with diarrhea, bronchitis, and ulcers. It is used within aromatherapy work to stimulate the immune system and treat respiratory problems. It can cause skin irritation and is therefore most commonly used in inhalation and other non-topical formulations. It’s properties include analgesic, antiseptic, antiviral, expectorant, fungicidal, regulatory, stimulant, and tonic.

<b>Blends well with: </b>Cinnamon Leaf, Frankincense, Lavender, Lemon, Myrrh, Myrtle, and Rosemary.

<b>Cautions: </b>Never use essential oils undiluted or in eyes or mucus membranes. Do not take internally unless working with a qualified and expert practitioner. Keep away from children and pets. If applying an essential oil to the skin, always dilute and perform a small patch test to an insensitive part of the body.
