What To Do With Your Trick-or-Treat Candy Wrappers?

Halloween is over -- so what should you do with the candy wrappers after you munch through those treats? Do you just throw them in the trash can? What if I tell you that you can actually recycle those colorful candy wrappers and be an ethical sweet-eater.
That's exactly what the good people at Terracycle are dedicated to do!
Instead of recycling, it's called upcycling, a process that can transform garbage into usable goods for sale and benefit the groups of people who collect it.
From Terracycle's website: TerraCycle makes affordable, eco-friendly products from a wide range of different non-recyclable waste materials. With over 50 products available at major retailers like Walmart, Target, The Home Depot, OfficeMax, Petco and Whole Foods Market, TerraCycle is one of the fastest growing eco-friendly manufacturers in the world. Our hope is to eliminate the idea of waste by finding innovative, unique uses for materials others deem garbage.
All you have to do is sign up for one of Terracycle’s recycling brigades and once you’re ready to send in your stuff, you can download a pre-paid UPS shipping label. Then just send them in and Terra Cycle pays you for your trick-or-treat waste, spending .02 cents per chip bag or juice bag.
Keep in mind that there is a trick (or catch) to this. The minimum return suggestions range between 25 to 100 pieces so get your family, friends and neighbors involve to upcycle those Capri Sun pouches, Skittles bags and Starburst wrappers!
