Allspice has a spicy and warm aroma. It is mainly used externally in massage to help relieve aching joints and muscles. It is a warming oil that helps improve circulation, digestion, reduces cellulite, and is calming for nerves, and promotes sleep. It is also a stimulant and aphrodisiac and is used internally for bacterial and viral infections, colds, and flatulence.

Amyris has a pleasant, woody scent that is often used in place of real Sandalwood Essential Oil. It is nice in blends and helps anchor the top and middle notes of the blend. It has antiseptic, sedative, and calming properties and aids in providing relief from stress. It also acts as a muscle relaxant, soothing agent, emollient, and stimulant. Amyris oil is mainly used in perfumery and room fragrance and as a scent fixative. It is somewhat viscous, offering a warm-woody bottom note.

Balsam Peru has a rich, balsamic, sweet vanilla-like undertone, making it an affordable substitute in natural perfumery when a sweet vanilla note is desired. It is mainly used in perfumery and skincare, but also used in massage for circulation and commercially in cough syrup and soft drinks. It is indicated for respiratory and immune system issues as well as itchy skin from scabies, ringworm, and eczema.

Basil has a sweet, spicy, green, and slightly balsamic odor. It is colorless or pale yellow in color. It is relaxing and uplifting and is an ideal remedy for mental fatigue, headaches, and insomnia. Basil is also useful for menstrual cramps, to relieve flatulence and other intestinal problems, and to stimulate hair growth.

Bay Leaf is steam distilled from the leaves and branches of the Bay tree. Its aroma is camphoraceous, herb-y, and warm. The dried leaves are commonly used as a culinary herb and the oil is included in massage formulations for muscular aches and pains such as arthritis and for aiding with poor circulation. It is also indicated to help with colds and virus infections and inhaled for respiratory support. Bay Leaf also has properties for controlling dandruff and promoting hair growth.

Bergamot has a light, fresh, floral citrus aroma that is uplifting, rejuvenating, calming, and balancing. Commonly used in cosmetics to help balance oily skin, prevent acne, and help relieve skin irritations such as psoriasis and eczema. It is said to help alleviate fatigue due to stress, restore appetite, improve digestion, strengthen the immune system, and reduce fever as well as repel insects. Use carefully in skin preparations as citrus oils are known photosensitizers.

Black Pepper has a spicy, strong peppery aroma. It helps stimulates the circulatory system and can be used in massage blends to help relieve pain caused by arthritis, sprains, and joint stiffness. It is also said to help increase alertness and memory and is sometimes used to help relieve congestion and flu symptoms. Black pepper is known to be antibacterial, antimicrobial, antiseptic, antispasmodic, aphrodisiac, digestive, and stimulant.

Cade has a unique aroma in that it is an oily, leathery, black smoke odor. It is most known to be helpful for skin irritations, especially dandruff, bad skin, and greasy hair, and is commonly used in hair and scalp formulations. It is also used in soaps for eczema and itchy skin as well as ointments and salves for a variety of skin problems such as psoriasis.

Caraway has an herbaceous, sweet, spicy aroma. The seeds are often used in cooking and the oil is commonly used to help with digestive issues such as heartburn and loss of appetite, constipation, menstrual cramps, and respiratory problems like excess phlegm. It is also helpful for skincare formulations to help stimulate the complexion and mouthwashes to stimulate local blood flow.

Typically used for its aroma in perfumes, soaps, and cosmetics, Cardamom offers a warm, spicy, and almost floral aroma. It is a stimulating yet soothing oil and is great for helping to refresh and uplift the mind and spirit when diffused. Cardamom has antibacterial, antiparasite and anti-infectious properties but it most well known as a spice used in cooking.

Carrot Seed has a rich earthy and woody aroma. It is used primarily for its healing properties and effects on the skin. Carrot seed oil is a good addition to facial formulations as it can help balance oily and dry skin and naturally contains beneficial vitamins such as A, B, and C. Cassia has a sweet, woody, spicy aroma similar to Cinnamon. It is known for easing nausea and vomiting. Cedar Leaf is native to Canada and part of Northern America. It was originally used by Native Americans for medicinal remedies and today is mainly used in homeopathic medicine due to its content of Thujone. Cedar Leaf is best used well diluted for topical use or for household cleaners and can add a great sage-like, woody aroma to blends.

Cedarwood oil benefits the skin by its sedating ability to relieve itching. It has a woody and fruity aroma with honey overtones. Its astringent action is good for acne, oily skin, eczema, and dandruff and is also a good insect and vermin repellent. It can help with chest and urinary infections and acts as a general tonic. It makes a great addition to massage oils as it aids in reducing cellulite and removal of body fat. Celery Seed is a sweet, spicy, musky, and slightly vegetable in aroma. Celery Seed oil is indicated for anxiety and inhaled for the respiratory system.

Chamomile Blue, or German Chamomile, has a fresh, sweet, and herbaceous aroma. It is widely used for pain and stress relief, healing wounds, and arthritic inflammations. It is a strong anti-inflammatory and is soothing for the nerves. It is very effective for skincare, acne, allergies, boils, burns and eczema, and many other types of skin diseases. It has a very low toxicity, therefore is excellent for use on children.
